It is with a heavy heart that we pass along news of the passing of Joey Belcher, owner of H Street’s Sticky Rice. Metropolitan Police have officially confirmed his passing, and they are “investigating an undetermined death pending an autopsy,” according to police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump.
In a call to Sticky Rice, an employee stated that any news would be forthcoming, and that condolences could be sent to Sticky Rice’s H Street address. Mr. Belcher was an owner at 1905, Sticky Rice, and Dangerously Delicious Pies. We express our deepest sympathy to Mr. Belcher’s loved ones and the larger H Street family.
