The beginning of the new year marks an event we don’t celebrate: the closing of H Street’s Red Palace. Originally opened as two side-by-side establishments, the Palace of Wonders and the Red and the Black combined in 2010 to create the Red Palace. Known for its burlesque stage shows and music events, Red Palace was always a great time and provided an eclectic place that seemed off the beaten path in our neighborhood for 6 1/2 years.
We’ll miss you, Red Palace.
