With a hankering for seafood, I ventured to Hechinger Mall to grab some carryout at Cameron’s. Sadly, I learned that they’d closed some months ago. In its place, however, is a new place that opened last Wednesday: America’s Best Wings.
It’s basically chain offering over 30 flavors of chicken wings as its primary staple. They serve both boneless and bone-in wings, as well as salads and other items. They’re located in the former Cameron’s Seafood space, near Radio Shack and the vacant former H&R Block space facing Benning Road. For about $10, I got 10 boneless wings, potato wedges, and a medium iced tea/lemonade mix.
A menu is online here, and there is a Yelp listing for another location further down Benning here.

c’mon titan give us some actual opinion here – was it any good?
Wings were OK, didn’t really care for the potato wedges (a bit crumbly and dry), but the mix was good. Overall, it’s decent. Haven’t tried the other items.
The wings are a hit… the ice tea/lemonade mix is a hit… the cake slices are worth it… the whole wings are a hit… the fried fish combo is a hit. I just hope the service at Hechinger Mall doesn’t fall into icky way it is over at Benning Road. The best customer service is at the one over in Forestville Md.
This past weekend went to Redskins playoff game party and the menu fare was wings from the restaurant and they were a HIT!!!
