Hey Titan,
Check it out! They tore down that old nightclub Mirror’s on the unit
block of NY Ave NE, revealing this super sweet old Coke ad painted on
the formerly connected building! They should just leave the space
empty now, in the interest of preserving this wonderful piece of DC
history. I think they are building a luxury hotel there now — I don’t
see as that’s a good idea, anyhow, being so close to “The NW”…See ya!


It’s certainly not going to happen, but it would be wonderful if the hotel could find some way to leave a “hole” in their wall with the adjacent building to allow the advert to continue to be viewed.
Someone contact Coca Cola. I’ve always wondered why they don’t get behind preserving these, as it would circumvent the ban on billboards. Or why more adverts don’t just get painted on buildings old school style ala this. Anyone know?
